Thailand is undoubtedly one of best countries in the world to visit. It’s won the hearts of many travelers and bloggers for a variety of different reasons. Known by many as ‘the land of smiles,’ the people of Thailand are welcoming, friendly and will certainly make your trip a memorable and happy one.
Thailand is probably most famous for its picture perfect islands and beaches which are among the most stunning in the world. Thailand has become one of the most visited counties in the world in recent years and irrespective of this, the country has still managed to hold onto its special traditions and cultural ways.
The people of Thailand, the food, the shopping and the carefree tips of lifestyle they live definitely won me over. Now that I’m home I only have the memories, the pictures and the things I brought home with me to remember this beautiful country by.

I thought my trip to Thailand was a prime opportunity to stock up on all things silk in my wardrobe.

No trip to Thailand is complete without picking up a few pairs of bamboo harem pants! They can be found in almost every single market in Thailand’s touristy areas. They are extremely popular and it’s impossible to take a stroll down Khao San Road without bumping into someone who is sporting this fashionable trend. Harem pants are probably the most comfortable trousers you will ever wear, and they come in a wide range of bright colors and funky patterns too. Regardless of what style of clothes you wear at home, harem pants will become one of your favorite wardrobe items whilst in Thailand. I couldn’t live without my eight pairs!
Gold jewelry and gems
Thailand has become known as one of world most famous hubs for gold jewelry and gem stones, and the country is now a world supplier of jade and sapphire. Every small town in Thailand has a jewelry shop that sells beautiful gold jewelry. Thai craftsman are experts so the gold bracelets, rings, chains and pendants are made to the highest standard of quality. You can pick up a gold and ruby or jade bracelet in Thailand for under $160, bring it to the U.S. and you can get it valued for as much as $600.
